My 20 year high school reunion was this weekend.
I didn't go.
I went to a high school in the suburbs of Washington, DC, that was ranked the number one public school in America for academics. Sadly, they didn't rank so high for students' emotional health. The place was a cesspool of ostentatious pricks and little Newt-Gingrich-Juniors-in-training.
On a whim the other day, I did open up one of the numerous invitations the reunion organizing committee has sent me. Near the end of this particular invitation (in which I counted five spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors; so much for being number one for academics, huh? ), it said, "Remember... we could care less [sic] about your looks, your hair (or lack thereof), your economic status, your marital status, or any other status that you may think of."
Lovely. If only they had been so kind 20 years ago.
Nice to see that at least you have matured, and no longer is passing judgment on others based on who they were as teenagers. Or, is making fun out of others based on looks or skills.....

Thank you for the reflection on high school reunions. Mine also was last weekend. Since I have been listed as dead, it was a wonderful excuse not to attend. After my family received some cards and letters, apologies came flooding in. Being dead has been a great eye opener. You certainly do not have to worry about your hair, looks, economic status etc.
I am happy you are blogging because every now and then, when I have a few moments, I think to myself, davethefox.com and I wonder what Dave is doing. Sounds like Dave is doing very well, yessss.
