Fully Equipped to Transport Humor Writers

One of the most fun parts of the Erma Bombeck conference was riding back and forth between the hotel and the University of Dayton. Shuttling us back and forth were a couple of dilapidated former school buses -- the kind you rode to third grade in with lousy suspension and no seatbelts.

The two buses were slightly different from each other, each having a sign or supplies above the front windshield to deal with common problems associated with transporting comedy writers.
